Four of the finalists didn't show up though the event was a success. Dinah Dominguez, the sexy siren circa 70s, Donnie Ramirez and GMA's Lhar Santiago were among the judges (yes, initial judging started). Rumor has it that there will be 17 and not 15 finalists come Monday (Coronation Night). The organizers seem pretty bent on allowing 2 semi-finalists who came so close for a Top 15 spot to be included in the magic circle. No word as of now so I guess, we'll have to see... - Boyet Blas

It's been dubbed as the King of Bokeh, Master of Background Diffusion, the Definitive Portrait lens, and the greatest, brightest in Canon's stable of EF lenses - truly the 85mm f/1.2L II USM is living up to every photographer's expectations and its reputation as being ultra-sharp even wide open (@1.2) continues to astound the most selective critique. I bought one myself and attached it to my 1Ds 3 and the results are highly dramatic (the subject appears popping out, almost like 3D). It has the ablility to blur the background rendering the portrait like an impressionistic ...

Kung ang tulad ko ay umibig sa iyo..." Those lyrics may sound too shockingly corny - too awful for a new generation Miss thing (no serious, angkinin & ipagpatawad?) but this was actually the first stanza of the theme song composed by no less than master songwriter Jose Mari Chan for a beauty pageant that once owned the exclusive Philippine franchise rights for MISS WORLD AND MISS ASIA way back in 1987, though the song was dished out faster ...
