Our dearest friend beauty queen maker Jonas Gaffud, CEO of Mercator Modelling Agency celebrated his __th birthday late last night with guests comprising of crowned (and soon-to-be crowned) beauties and exclusive Mercator models. The theme this year was "JAI HO" - reason why the ladies were wearing bindi. Jonas himself did a spoof of the Pussycat Dolls' OST of the movie Slumdog Millionaire while yours truly almost did Latika's Theme hehehe. Tall, dark, and handsome JC Tiuseco and Aki Sato who made Greenbelt's "gimik" crowd party animals weak in their knees led the way....

A-Venue Hall Makati City September 1st 2008 9:00pm 24-year-old dark mestizo Ryan Roberts bested 15 contestants to emerge top prize winner for the Mr. International Philippines title held last Sept. 1 at the A-Venue Mall in Makati City. Four of the finalists didn't show up though the event was a success. Dinah Dominguez, the sexy siren circa 70s, Donnie Ramirez and GMA's Lhar Santiago were among the judges (yes, initial judging started). Rumor has it that there will be 17 and not 15 finalists come Monday (Coronation Night). The organizers seem pretty bent on allowing 2 semi-finalists who came so close for a Top 15 spot to be included in the magic circle. No word as of now so I guess, we'll have to see... - Boyet Blas

The Crown Plaza Hotel Robinson's Galleria Mall Ortigas Center Pasig City April 29th 2008 7:00 p.m. The candidates presented their regional costumes including the girls originating from foreign lands with Filipino ancestry who each presented her national costume as well.
